Modern English
Translation of Sonnet #28
How can I ever be happy again?
Now I cannot get any rest
When at the end of the day, I still cannot say "amen"
But as the days go on, it is apparent I am not blessed
Even though both are opposites
They come together to bring me sorrow
One by work, the other not so exquisite
I work so hard, to avoid it, but it never becomes macro
I want the days to overcome the rough nights
Because sometimes bad things can ruin a good time
But now, not even the stars shine light
But my days and misery never seem to end
And the nights only make my grief ascend
Now I cannot get any rest
When at the end of the day, I still cannot say "amen"
But as the days go on, it is apparent I am not blessed
Even though both are opposites
They come together to bring me sorrow
One by work, the other not so exquisite
I work so hard, to avoid it, but it never becomes macro
I want the days to overcome the rough nights
Because sometimes bad things can ruin a good time
But now, not even the stars shine light
But my days and misery never seem to end
And the nights only make my grief ascend
